The holiday season is the perfect time for us to reflect on the impact that our families have on their foster kids. From our kids who have been with the same placements all year, to the ones who step into a new home for the first time days before Christmas, our parents are faithful to our mission of caring for every child in our care. The following is a story that one of our parents shared with us recently, about their own experience with their foster kids around the holidays, and it takes a peek behind the curtain of the kinds of “normal” that these kids live in.
